A towel that is just the right thickness, lightness, and functionality.

Created through the collaboration between the poetry and painting artist Morita MiW and Kusunoki Monori.

This "Towel Tenugui" is a towel that reflects the mysterious world of MiW's pictures and stories. It combines the ease of use of a tenugui with the texture of a towel. Thin threads are used on both sides and woven into a short pile, so the front side feels slightly smooth to the touch. The back side is made of two loosely twisted single threads that are gently twisted to create a soft, elastic texture like a sponge.

Material: 100% cotton (Gauze pile)

What makes our products so special

What’s in the box?

Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
