Most of Made in Japan products are sourced from small, family-run kilns in Gifu on the central island of Honshu, with the rest of our collections sourced from all over Japan. Our products make their way from Japan to our lovely warehouse in Yorkshire, where we keep them safe until it’s time for them to head to their new homes.

Japan's capital is big, bold, and densely packed with cultures and sub-cultures, each with their own fashions, trends, traditions, rituals and norms. It can be highly intimidating to the uninitiated. But this needn't be the case. With this curated travel guide you’ll discover the village-like atmosphere of its smaller suburbs and find the best restaurants, bars, shops, and attractions hidden within this urban jungle. It will also guide you through the intricacies of Tokyo culture and its residents' obsessions, from craft beer to coffee, baseball to ramen noodles.

What’s in the box?
Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
