Sizes:

Expertly crafted in Iwami, Japan by Motoshige Pottery, this Japanese Ceramic Ginger Grater features an innovative grating surface embedded with sharp ceramic fragments, delivering exceptional sharpness with minimal effort.

The generous 18cm size provides ample space for grating larger quantities of ginger, garlic, wasabi, daikon, and other fresh ingredients, making it ideal for everyday cooking and shared meals.

Unlike metal graters, the ceramic surface resists odours and colour transfer, while the durable Iwami ware construction is made for everyday use. A non-slip silicone base keeps the grater stable during use and helps protect worktops and tables from scratches.

  • Size: Approx. Ø18 × H3cm
  • Material: Ceramic (body), Silicon rubber (non-slip base)
  • Embedded ceramic blades for efficient grating
  • Ideal for ginger, garlic, wasabi, daikon, and other fresh ingredients
  • Resists odours and colour transfer

  • Dishwasher safe: No

The clean white clay finish gives this Japanese ceramic grater a simple, table-ready aesthetic, perfect for preparing and serving fresh condiments, dressings, and sauces.

Care Instructions

Avoid contact with hard objects such as plates or spoons, as the ceramic teeth may chip. Do not stack heavy items on top during storage.

The ceramic surface is very sharp. Handle with care. Small dark lines around the teeth are part of the manufacturing process and do not affect performance.

Ensure the grater and table surface are dry before use, as the silicone base may slip when wet.

Do not leave on oil-absorbing surfaces (wood, paper, fabric) for long periods, as slight oil transfer from the silicone may occur. Avoid storing in prolonged contact with smooth surfaces such as glass or ceramic.
